This “Firefall” Only Happens For Two Weeks Each Year

Every year hundreds of visitors gather nightly to witness this stunning transformation of Horsetail Fall in Yosemite National Park. For just two weeks, the angle of the sun electrifies the 1,575-foot waterfall, giving the illusion of fire cascading down the cliff.

This year the infamous “Firefall” will occur from February 13 – 27. The event is immensely popular, so parking restrictions will be in effect. Your best bet is to arrive early and to be prepared for a long hike to the base of the falls.
