Overview: This is the Tenkara Teton Fly Rod. The biggest difference between this rod and traditional rods you have seen, is that there is no “reel” attached. And because there’s no reel, they can make a rod that’s completely collapsible. It collapses down to just 20 inches. This makes the rod very light weight. The rod’s made of carbon fiber that makes it light weight and durable. It’s really simple to use. All you have to do is pull your line off the unique line holder here. To extend the rod all you’ve to do is pull the cap off and it all extends piece by piece. It’s just a friction fit, so just pull it snug as you pull it out.

You wouldn’t know it from looking at it collapsed, but the Teton Fly Rod is 12 feet long. These rods are really, really flexible. Which makes it a lot of fun fishing. Even if you’re fishing in a small creek with small fish, or if you’re fishing in a bigger river, these rods have a lot of action to them, so they’re really, really fun to catch fish on. And if you need to collapse the rod down and get around some bushes or some willows or something like that, all you have to do is just collapse it down piece by piece. If you check out Tenkara’s website there are a lot of instructional videos and tips that will help you get started.
