Ray’s Favorite Thing To Do In The Campground
Relax along the banks of the shady Toms River that meanders on through the Park, and maybe fish right there.

Ray’s Favorite Campsite
I’d choose one of our sites that are right along the river.

Get To Know Surf N Stream Campground

How long has Surf N Stream Campground been there and how did it get it’s start?
This Park began as a KOA back in 1972. It was popular for it’s close proximity to Seaside Heights, and for it’s kayaking and canoeing on the Toms River which flows through the campground.

What are the most popular activities in the campground for your guests?
Most people are here to enjoy the beach and fishing. Also we have two Pools here on site, and lots of free activities running in the summer. There’s a movie for the kids every Friday Night with all the popcorn they can eat, and live entertainment every Saturday Night all summer long. It’s a big party and wonderful time for all ages.

Where is your business located? What are some other attractions in the area worth checking out?
Surf N Stream Campground is located minutes from the Garden State Parkway and near Tom’s River. We’re close to all the beach resorts such as Point Pleasant, Asbury Park, and of course Atlantic City. They’re all within 40 minutes. But also, we’re 20 minutes away from Six Flags Great Adventure and all the great Fashion Outlet Stores in Jackson, NJ.

Which of those attractions is your favorite?
Of course the main reason why people are here is to go to the Beach. We’re the closest Campground to Seaside Heights which is only 10 minutes away, and of course Seaside Heights is the center of the Jersey Shore. It offers the great beaches, the boardwalk, the rides, and all the nightlife. Also there’s great fishing at Island Beach State Park, which is right next to Seaside Heights. Island Beach is 13 miles of pristine beach and the Surf Fishing is unsurpassed. Not to mention, we have more than a few Boat Captains that can take anybody out for Deep Sea and Offshore Fishing on any budget.

What are the campsites like? Are they more open or secluded?
Our park is old and we choose not to change the sizes of the sites because we’d thus be subject to all new Camping Regulations, the sites are tight. Also we’re always fairly full. That’s the charm of the place, and why we foster a party atmosphere where we’re all family.

If you could only spend one hour at your facility what would you do?
Relax along the banks of the shady Toms River that meanders on through the Park, and maybe fish right there, because when we fish in the Toms River on our Campground we catch a fish on every cast. No kidding. The river is loaded with all kinds of freshwater fish like bass, trout, catfish, pickerel, eels…everything…and we feed them so they’re always around.

If you could spend just one night at Surf N Stream Campground, which specific campsite would you choose, and why?
I’d choose one of our sites that are right along the river. They’re rare because no other Campground can offer such a site due to new Campground Regulations. These sites are right on the water. That’s why we don’t change. Campers can fish all night long right on their sites, or just watch the water. It’s very beautiful.
