A bunch of skateboarders competing in the 2024 Olympic Games went skating through the streets of Paris when their bus crashed en route to the venue. The Instagram account Berrics, run by skateboarding legends Steve Berra and Eric Koston, shared a video yesterday shot by Canadian pro skater Matt Berger as he and several other skateboarders made their way to Place de la Concorde. The venue was a little over a mile away from where the bus crashed.

In the video, you first see a bus sitting near horizontally across a roadway in Paris. Berger records people walking away from the bus, many of them wearing lanyards and pulling carry-on-sized rolling luggage. Next, Berger holds his phone in selfie mode as he skates down the street. He then holds his phone up to record the many skaters behind him who are doing the same thing.

Berrics reports that when the skaters arrived at their venue, they got to work practicing. Nice warm up, right?
Unfortunately, rain delayed the men’s street skateboarding event that was supposed to happen this morning. The event will now take place on Monday, July 29th.
