LifeStraw Go: Review

One of the easiest ways to ruin a long hike is to let yourself get dehydrated. Before long you become sleepy, crabby and will get a headache if you’re really lucky. Because I’m almost always hiking around water, I never forget to throw a water filter in my pack. Currently, it’s the LifeStraw Go. It doesn’t have any moving parts and weighs under six ounces.

The original LifeStraw (that functions more like an actual straw) is great, but if I don’t have another container it means that I have to lay down on the ground to use it. Not so great if it’s raining. The LifeStraw Go functions pretty much the way a normal water bottle does. I can just fill it up and head out. It filters up to 264 gallons of water and holds 22 ounces. It also comes with a little carabiner, which is nice for clipping to the outside your pack.
