Kelty Tumbler 30/50 Review

Kelty Tumbler 30/50 Review

Kelty is a American Recreation Products company and manufacturers of high-end backpacks, tents, and sleeping bags. Kelty Tumbler collection offers three different sleeping bags for different temperature ranges. The Kelty Tumbler 30/50 is the warmest member of the Tumbler collection.

Functionality: The Kelty Tumbler series includes external snaps and liner loops to easily attach more layers to the inside or outside of the sleeping bag. The locking zippers with dual sliders allows for easy venting and the option to fully unzip to use as a blanket.

Ease Of Use: The Kelty Tumbler 30/50 keeps you comfortable on the 50 degree side and nice and toasty on the 30 degree side. The Tumbler 30/50 is one of Kelty’s only bags with a cotton blend liner that will have you sleeping like a baby no matter what the temp is. This sleeping bag is very easy to transport and store with the custom-sized stuff sack.

Durability: The Cloudloft insulation offers soft, high-loft warmth with durable compressibility. Use the thicker insulated 30 side of the bag on colder nights. On warmer nights, simply flip the bag over for a little less insulation on the 50 side. The full length draft tube with anti-snag zipper construction ensures warmth and easy-maneuvering throughout the night.

Value: The sleeping bag is listed to fit up to 6 feet 6 inches and I found that to not be true. I am 6’4″ and if I lay straight, the sleeping bag doesn’t cover my face. The inner liner of the sleeping bag is comfy. The outer layer is sufficiently strong and not loud as you moved across tent floor. At $84.95 the Kelty Tumbler 30/50 sleeping bag is a great value for anyone that needs extra warmth for fall camping nights.
