Last night, people in the United States who never expected to experience the Aurora Borealis from their own backyard witnessed the incredible sight. A geomagnetic storm made the spectacular light show visible in northern states and even as far south as Tennessee. Meanwhile, in Norway, the most perfect reindeer made the most perfect appearance under the Northern Lights, and the internet can’t get enough.

The Northern Lights aren’t nearly as rare in Norway as they are in the United States, but one beautiful reindeer just had to remind everyone that it’s somehow even more magical to view the Aurora Borealis from the Arctic Circle.
The stunning footage comes from the Aurora Borealis Observatory on Senja Island, which is at the northern tip of Norway. Wonder of Science shared the clip on X, showing a reindeer doing reindeer things as the night sky ignites with stunning shades of green, blue, and purple.

Isn’t this the most picture-perfect thing? Seeing Aurora images from all around the world this weekend somehow makes the Earth seems a little smaller. It’s a sweet reminder that we’re all on this planet together.
