An Australian fisherman found himself in the fin of it after a great white shark jumped into his boat and landed on him.

Terry Selwood, 73, was fishing offshore 450 miles north of Sydney when the incident occurred. “He came right over the top of the motor and then dropped onto the floor,” Selwood said, according to MSN.
While he could barely make out what was coming over the boat, what happened next made it hard to ever forget.

Selwood said the pectoral fin of the shark hit him on the forearm as it was coming down and knocked Selwood down to the point where he ended up on all fours facing the shark.
Luckily Selwood, who had a bloody arm, was able to scramble away from the 9-foot long, 400-pound great white shark to call for help. The shark tore skin off of Selwood’s arm and he still managed to call the Coast Guard for help. Selwood was taken to land where he could get medical attention and the boat was taken away with the deceased shark still in it.
In all of his 60 years fishing Selwood never had a shark fling itself over the motor and into his boat. “I’ve had ’em come up and brush the side of my boat, I’ve had a white pointer swim around my boat, I’ve had ’em take fish off my line, but I’ve never had one do this,” he said.
