John: It’s going well, thank you.
Camp Missouri: So, let’s start with how long Cross Creek RV Park and Campground has been there and how you got started.
John: Oh, let’s see. It’s probably been here about 20 years. We’re going on our 15th year.
Camp Missouri: Okay. And what types of camping do you offer there?
John: Well, we have a full array of tent sites, RV sites, and cabins available.
Camp Missouri: Okay. And what are the most popular activities for the guests there?
John: Well, we try to please everybody. We’ve got a 9-hole mini golf course. Of course a swimming pool. 8-acre fishing lake, no license required. We’ve got paddleboats for the lake. There’s shuffleboard courts, horseshoe, sand volleyball, basketball, playground with little ones – just something for everybody. We also do karaoke on weekends during the season.
Camp Missouri: Oh, karaoke, man. I will come down there and sing Phil Collins all night for you guys. That sounds like a fantastic place. What are some of your favorite attractions in and around that area that you would recommend that people go out and visit?
John: Well, if they come to the lake, of course they’ve got to spend one day on the main lake. There are great excursion boats you can take. They’re real reasonable. You get on the lake, or rent your own boat. There’s Ha-Ha-Tonka State Park. Old Castle Ruins. That’s really cool. Great music show here at the lake. Puts the Branson shows up; give them a run for their money.
Camp Missouri: Okay, cool. And I’ve just got two more questions for you, John.
John: Okay.
Camp Missouri: If you were just going to spend one hour at Cross Creek RV Park and Campground, how would you spend your time there?
John: One hour. I would spend it in Site 61, kicked out under the awning of my camper, looking out over the lake and drinking a cold one.
Camp Missouri: That sounds ideal. You answered my second question too, which was what your favorite site is. So, we’ve got Site 61, and you’re going to crack a cold one. And if I’m ever in the area, I will absolutely join you.
John: All right.
Camp Missouri: All right, John. Thank you so much for taking some time out of your day to chat with us about Cross Creek RV Park and Campground.
John: Okay, thank you.
