A polar bear has gone viral for its gold-medal-worthy dive. Alaska Zoo shared a video of the endearing moment on TikTok, and 1.2 million people have enjoyed it so far. We’re not surprised, since the polar bear has impeccable form.

In the video, you see a polar bear standing upright at the edge of a pool in its exhibit. It’s right at the edge and clearly is working hard to keep its balance. The polar bear has its front paws tucked neatly in front of its body.
It looks around briefly, as if thinking, “Is everyone watching? Can everyone see me?”
Once settled on that point (everyone was, indeed, watching, and someone was filming behind the viewing glass), the bear focuses on the water, then dives in. The dive is more of a free fall at first, but about halfway down, the bear tucks its head and has a pretty clean entry into the water.
And the adoring crowd goes wild.
