Camping Long Key State Park in South Florida
While camping at Long Key State Park, visitors will find 60 different campsites that all overlook the Atlantic Ocean. Campers are allows to bring pets with them on the campgrounds as long as they are well behaved. Reservations for camping at Long Key State Park can be made up to 11 months in advance.
Long Key State Park Amenities
Each of the campsites includes a BBQ ground grill and picnic table. All of the campsites do come with water and electric hookup. There are three restrooms and hot showers located in the center of the campgrounds. While the campsites do not have sewage hookup, there is a dump station provided for campers to use. RVs are permitted on the campsites as long as they are not larger than 45 feet in length.
Things to do in Long Key State Park
Every Wednesday at 10AM the park offers guests a two hour guided walk down the Golden Orb Trail. Every Thursday, the park offers a Ranger’s Choice program at 10AM. Other activities that the park offers includes: fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, nature trail walks, and wildlife viewing.

Long Key State Park is open from 8AM until sunset every day of the year.
Long Key State Park Fees
Admission Fee:
$5.00 per vehicle (2 to 8 people)
$2.00 per pedestrian, bicyclist, extra passenger, and passenger in vehicle holding Annual Individual Entrance Pass
There is also a $0.50 fee per person for the Monroe County Surcharge
Long Key State Park Camping Fees:
$36.00 per night (plus taxes)
Florida residents who are over the age of 65 years old are eligible for a 50% discount. Proof of eligibility is required.
