Thailand is a firm favorite for adventurous travelers, including me. With its breathtaking beaches and islands, there are ample opportunities for island hopping and water activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, and kayaking. Thailand isn’t just about water activities and beaches, though. If you need an adrenaline rush, check out the rock climbing on the limestone cliffs at Railay Beach or the zip-lining canopy tours.

Seeing safari animals in the wilds of Kenya is one of my top adventure travel moments. Kenya is renowned for its wildlife safaris and the chance to see the “Big Five” (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros) in their natural habitat. Go on a land safari or even on a hot air balloon safari, allowing you to observe the wildlife and landscapes in a really unique way. Lots of reserves in Kenya also offer camping opportunities, allowing you to immerse yourself in the wilderness for the night—a must for adventure enthusiasts.
The time I spent with the locals in Kenya was so fun, so make sure to interact with local tribes like the Maasai and learn about their traditions and way of life.

Brazil has such a diverse landscape that it offers so many outdoor adventure opportunities and earns the top spot on my list. Head to the magnificent Iguazu Falls on the border with Argentina, go kiteboarding or windsurfing on Brazil’s famous beaches, and head to the famous Rio Carnival to experience the biggest party in the world. If you need an even bigger adrenaline rush, you can go hang gliding in Rio or rock climbing at Sugarloaf Mountain—a challenging climb with fantastic views.
My favorite place in Brazil for outdoor fun is the Pantanal Wetlands, where you can see lots of caimans, capybaras, and jaguars. This is a hugely underrated part of Brazil that I 100% recommend.
