Camping in Donner Memorial State Park
There are 154 different campsites located at Donner Memorial State Park. Guests can make reservations to stay at the campsites up to seven months in advance. Due to the park’s overwhelming popularity around the holidays guests are encouraged to make reservations as soon as possible.

Amenities in Donner Memorial State Park
All of the campsites as well as the day use area feature picnic tables, restrooms, the beach, fishing areas, and access to a lakeside hiking trail. Each campsite also includes a metal bear resistant food locker. All campers are required to keep all of their foods, drinks, and toiletries locked up in the lockers when they are not using them. The temperature in the park ranges from 75 degrees to 40 in the summer and 40 degrees to 20 in the winter. Campers are encouraged to bring warm camping gear and clothing.

Donner Memorial State Park offers their guests a number of opportunities to enjoy in both the summer and the winter. In the summer you can enjoy camping, boating, water-skiing, hiking, fishing, and picnicking. In the winter, you can enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoes on the hiking trails. Guests are welcomed all year round to enjoy this beautiful park.

Donner Memorial State Park Hours
The museum is opened from 9AM to 4PM every day throughout the year; however, individuals are encouraged to contact the park for regular hours of operation.
Camping Fees at Donner Memorial State Park
It costs $35 per night to stay at the campsites.
